How to sign up Akrio using Xero App Store

Akrio is available on the Xero App Store, so Xero customers can connect and start a trial in under a minute — no manual sign-up form required.

Before you start

  1. An active Xero organisation.
  2. Permission to authorise third-party apps in that organisation.
  3. A modern browser with cookies and JavaScript enabled.

The sign-up flow
1. Click “Get this app” The customer opens Akrio’s listing on the Xero App Store and clicks Get this app.
2. Redirect to Akrio Xero sends them to Akrio’s connect URL, where the OAuth flow is prepared.
3. Authorise via OAuth 2.0 The customer signs into Xero, selects the organisation to connect, and approves Akrio’s requested scopes. Xero then returns the customer’s name, email, Xero user ID, and access/refresh tokens to Akrio.
4. Trial account is created Akrio automatically provisions a trial account using the Xero profile. No password setup or email verification is needed — Xero handles authentication.
5. Xero data is synced Akrio pulls the customer’s chart of accounts, contacts, invoices, and recent transactions so the trial is ready to use with real data.
After sign-up
you can access Akrio either directly at akrio.com via ‘continue with xero‘ option or from My Apps in Xero. At the end of the trial, you choose a paid plan.
Common issues

  1. Consent screen doesn’t load — log out of Xero and retry.
  2. Sync seems stuck — Xero may be rate-limiting; it will retry automatically.
  3. “App already connected” — the tenant is linked to an existing Akrio workspace; log in there or disconnect first in Xero.

Security
Tokens are encrypted at rest and refreshed automatically. Customers can revoke access anytime from Connected apps in their Xero settings.
